Sir Quentin Blake works sold to support the Accentuate Programme
Posted by Stephanie Adamou, Tuesday 5th May, 2020
As previously announced, Screen South were the grateful recipients of 10 works generously donated by Sir Quentin Blake, made during the Covid 19 lockdown, to sell as part of the Artist Support Pledge. All 10 works sold successfully to bidders via the Screen South Instagram page, and in many instances works were selling within one second of being posted! The works will be on their way to their new owners once it is safe to do so.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sir Quentin again for his hugely generous donation. The proceeds of the sales of this work will go directly to Accentuate and an exciting new project that we will be announcing in May 2020.
Esther Fox, Head of the Accentuate Programme, was invited to speak on BBC Radio Sussex’s ‘Make A Difference’ segment on Joe Talbot’s show on Sunday 3rd May 2020. You can listen to this interview via the BBC website until 3rd June 2020

If you were unable to buy a work but are keen to support Accentuate in championing the talents of D/deaf and disabled artists, filmmakers and curators, please do go to the Accentuate page of the Screen South website to learn more about us and perhaps donate to our work.
