Accentuate

Search and Discover Gosport in the summer of 2010 saw artist Mandie Saw collaborate with the Gosport Discovery Centre to run two series of workshops using items from the Local Studies Collection to explore the town's history. One series of workshops worked specifically with a local MIND group, the other was an 'open' workshop that actively encouraged disabled people to come along.  The workshops were very popular, leading some participants to enrol in other arts workshops. 

In addition, Mandie explored Gosport herself, photographing the juxtpositions between the old and new, and unusual persepctives on the town. 

An exhibition of work was created for Heritage Open Days which was shown in the Discovery Centre.
